TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

The Technical Advisory Committee of the Pine Bluff Area Transportation Study (PBATS) is in the process of developing the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Pine Bluff-White Hall urbanized area for fiscal years 2018 through the fiscal year 2021. As part of this process, the Committee is soliciting public review and input to the transportation projects (surface transportation and public transit) included in the Draft TIP. The U. S. Department of Transportation recognizes the PBATS Policy Committee as the official body responsible for the adoption of a TIP for the urban area. Federal regulations require that any federally funded transportation project that is to be undertaken within the urban area be included in the TIP as approved by the PBATS Policy Committee. The public can obtain a copy from the MPO office or view the document on PBATS MPO web site, www.searpc.com. Should you have any comments concerning any surface transportation project and/or public transit project under consideration in the 2018 – 2021 Draft TIP, they will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24th, 2016. Comments shall be submitted to the Southeast Arkansas Regional Planning Commission, 1300 Ohio Street, Suite B, Pine Bluff, AR 71601. All comments received will be presented to the PBATS Policy Committee for consideration. Should you have any questions, please contact Larry Reynolds, Director, Southeast Arkansas Regional Planning Commission at 870-534-4247.
